Ellette's eyes widened. "That would be amazing." She closed her eyes thinking about the 'Otherworld.' It would be amazing to go there. she knew... that if she went there: she wouldn't come back here. Ellette closed her eyes. She reached across the table, "I won't tell a-" as soon as her hand hit hers, she collapsed. Ellette curled up into a ball. One of her 'attacks.'
Ellette and Ambrose stood in the forest, side by side. There was a machine clutched in Ambrose's hands. "I hope it works." Ellette's voice sounded distant. Ambrose smiled down at her. "It'll work. I promise. I'll get you home." Ellette smiled up at him. She hugged his waist tightly. "Go ahead. Bring us home." Ambrose did something with the machine, and suddenly: the entire forest was filled with a bright light. And that's when they were attacked.

Ambrose rushed over to her, "Ellette? Snap out of it." He guessed this was one of her attacked, not normally did people curl up in balls at random times. He held her so that she was somewhat sitting up, allowing for her to breathe more efficiently. "Ellette? Please come out of it." He tried shaking her, but that didn't work. What was he suppose to do? Ambrose started to stroke her hair softly, trying to soothe her. "Elletee...Its Me, Ambrose.. Your fine.. You'll be okay.. Just snap out of it."

Ellette pressed against his chest, tears streaking down her cheeks as the 'attack' continued. After a minute she looked up into his eyes. The pain was clearly visible. "It was... so strong this time..." She looked down, and laid her head against his chest once more. Then a blush began to creep across her cheeks... as she realized that she was clutched in his arms. but she didn't want to move. It felt safe, and... She felt his concern for her...

Ambrose was thankful for two things, that she snapped out of it, and that the Cafe was empty around this time. The Cashier always hung out in the back, and well, he didn't have to worry about people staring at him funny. Ambrose gently placed his hand on her cheek wiping her tears away. "Shh.. It'll be fine. I promise." Ambrose saw her blush and smiled, but then a very faint blush began to appear on his face as the cashier walked in and out once more. He didn't want her to leave, all he wnated was to know that she was okay. He couldn't loose the only person who understood him. Not now.. Not ever.

Ellette looked him in his eyes. "You mean it? That things will be okay?" Her voice still shook a little from the fading pain that resulted from her 'attack'. But it also held hope. It seemed that maybe she DID have someone in this world....

"Yes, I promise. I will protect you with every inch of my being, to make sure I fulfill that promise.. What exactly did you see?" Ambrose said, but then thought she may not want to tell him. "You don't have to tell me if you don't want too... I'm just curious."

Ellette smiled. "I do not mind telling you. No one has ever asked what happens when I have one of my 'attacks.'" She drew in a deep breath and leaned her head against his chest once more. "WE were in the forest, and she had this machine in your hands. I said that I hoped it worked, and you promised it would, that you would get me home." then you pushed a few buttons on it, and there was this bright glow, and then we were attacked. And that's where it ended..."

"It worked? The portal worked?' He was shocked, and hugged her tightly. "You know what that means? Its real, the portal is real..." Ambrose grinned, We'll just have to make sure, we aren't attacked!' He said cheerfully.

Ellette's eyes widened. "That was the portal opening?" She hugged him back. "Oh my god! I am not... I am not crazy!" She shook her head. "But how do we avoid being attacked?" She was smiling though. The Otherworld was real!

"We can avoid it, if we know what exactlyh attacked us. Someone.. or something that doesn't want it open." He smiled and stood up. Ambrose helped her up and smiled one more. "This is great..."

Ellette hugged him tightly. "No, it is amazing! I am not crazy!" She let go of him and spun around in a circle. then hugged him again. "Do you know how much of a relief that is?" Ellette was practically glowing with happiness.

Ambrose smiled and said "It is amazing." He said picking her up, and spinning her around. " He hugged her and grinned. "Ellette, you said that we were going back home... That means we must have came from there, right?" He asked.

Ellette nodded. She stared up into his eyes. "I wonder what I am.." She was curious. Could she be a fairy? no. She didn't picture herself with wings. An avian? Again, no wings. A wolf? No shape-shifting for her. A vampire? She got scared just thinking about it, even though she loved vampires. She looked up into his eyes. "Don't you? Wonder what you really are?"

Ambrose smiled. "I do, but I also want it to be a suprise... for when I walk through the portal, for it to be a shock of what I am..." He said softly. "You are definitely something amazing, I can't see any animal inside of you...I just don't know what."

Ellette blushed brightly. She lowered her head, trying to hide it. "I can't wait to see..." she chuckled. "I don't think I'm an animal either, and I KNOW I'm not a vampire." she shrugged. "I want it to be a surprise as well. but something tells me I'll know before we go."
