Foster swung her lungs on the branch of the mighty oak tree. She peered out across the forest and let out a great sigh. she was lonely, but from the very beginning: Foster knew she would live a lonely life. You must devote your heart, soul, and life into this job dear Foster. Her teachers had all informed her. Even her mothers last words were that she would be alone. Foster was the guardian of the forest, and nothing had happened since the great war. She had singlehandedly kept the forest from burning down, and saved all the tree's and creatures that lived in it. but did she get any thanks? No.
Her body shook when she felt the portal reopen. "Here comes the trouble." She whispered silently. She watched as a vampire and a wolf quietly explored her home. She smiled when they found the secret passage, and then watched as a tiger and the raven princess returned. She whispered a silent prayer that the Raven princess would find peace and happiness with her reign. It was not long before the other royals were arriving. The Wyvern court would be restored, that she could tell, the vampires could return to their former glory, even the elves were getting a new ruler, from a different line. The tree's foretold a great bond, an alliance of many creatures.
A few phoenixes had also returned from the other world, Blaze of the top clan being one of them. He would most likely assume a leadership role, unless he chose to become a rogue and join forces in the alliance. the second option seemed more like him. And yet: no one came to see the poor Guardian of the forest. She closed her eyes, not bothering to shed a tear. She was used to being lonely. But... she wished that someone would at least come and say hello. Thank her for protecting her home... and it was a long stretch. But the Guardian of the Forest, foster Shea... She wished for love. Friendship and love.

Jeff stuck his hand through the portal and closd his eyes. When he opened them again he was in the Otherworld. The scenery hadn't changed through. He was still in a forest filled with trees, but it felt different. The power wasn't that of the small forest in Ramsa it was stronger. Jeff looked around expecting to see someone watching him.

Foster looked down from her spot up in the tree and saw the boy enter the forest. He was a falcon. Foster allowed a small smile to pass through her frozen, bored expression. He seemed to know where he was, even if he himself had no idea that he did. Foster took a deep breath and slid off the branch. Slowly, using her wings, she floated downwards and landed behind him. "Greetings Falcon, and welcome to the Mirror Forest."

Jeff turned around to see Foster. He was startled by her appearance, but tried to hide his expression. He actually thought it was pretty cool, but looking at her for the first time had shocked him. "Hello. Who are you?" he asked.

Foster bowed her head. "I am Foster Shea, the Guardian of the Mirror Forest. Who might you be?" She was smiling on the inside. His reaction to her was quite surprising to her. she had not expected him to be shocked by her appearance. but then again: Barely anyone saw the Guardian of the Forest.

"I am Jeff Hanson and I'm just a falcon," he told Foster.

Foster chuckled, something she hadn't done for at least a thousand years. "No one is just something. There is always something special hidden under the surface, that will surprise and astonish someone."

Jeff smiled and said, "Well what is something amazing about you that I can't see or you haven't told me in the few seconds we've known eachother?"

Foster was taken a little aback. She hadn't expected him to ask her to tell her something amazing about herself. Something that wasn't completely obvious! She had to think... "Um... I can talk to the trees..." She looked away from Jeff, for the first time in her long life: she was blushing.

Foster siled her first full on smile. "It ranges. sometimes they tell me if there's danger in the forest, and sometimes they tell me about their days. But the best thing they do: is tell stories. The tree's know all about the goings on in this world, and have seen many epic things/ They tell me of the rulers of the past, the great wars, the great rescues, and of all the creatures that once filled this land. they also tell of when the humans lived here in harmony with us."

"That sounds really cool," Jeff said. "I'd love to hear those stories sometime. I don't know very much about this world."

Foster leaned her body against a nearby tree. "Actually you do know something, the knowledge takes sometime to kick in for some people." Her smile was gentle. "I can help you unlock it if you like?"

"Anything to stop this confusion," Jeff replied with a smile.

Foster nodded. She stepped forward, really close to Jeff. "I promise you this will not hurt, your memories may be painful to see, but I will make sure no harm befalls you." Foster pressed her fingers against his temples, closed her eyes, and breathed in deeply, as she exhaled she quietly commanded Remember. A bright light surrounded them, and her mind was transported into his memories, she was to help unlock them.
