Blaze turned to her again. "It is a pleasure to meet you Miss. Marisa. Ah!" He chuckled. "the outdoors are a splendid place. the freedom! the peace!" he closed his eyes for a moment, relishing in the oceans amazing scent and breeze. He opened his eyes, his purple eyes crinkling as he smiled at the two girls. "I am guessing you are talking about the murder on Dove Hill?" He shook his head. "Such a sad happening. It is such a shame that the killer was never found. They deserve death. Painful death."

Marisa couldn't fault Neruka for forgetting part of their conversation only minutes ago - god knew that were there any shiney things on the sand in front of her - she'd probably forget her own name.
"The beach is my fave. Or, the water. Ya know, the sites...the sound - the way you can just smell all the saltiness in the air." She breathed in deeply. "Paradise. And all that freedom and peacefullness stuff too."
True to her word, however, she was distracted from the conversation - not by any sort of forgotten glittery object - but by another, totally different conversation.
"YES! See, that's exactly what I said!" She crowed with a triumphant whoop. "The total is now two for kill the bastard who dares take advantage and murders defenseless little kids - and one who's all for the politically correct, but economically draining let him rot in prison approach! We can officially ready a firing squad!"
Okay, so it wasn't exactly a competition - but Marisa was a amature crime enthusiest - if her addiction to CSI was any tell - and an economic development major - with the soul of a twelve year old sugar-fiend. And child-killers were never high on anyones book, expecially hers. There were some professors - with their penchant for boatloads of homework in an insanely short amount of time - that she felt deserved a quick death too.

Neruka smiled, she was about to say something when a crab walked infront of her, he turned to face her and started to run away. Neruka picked up the crab by the back and smiled. "Look what I found!" The crab could not pinch her, seeing how her hand was out of the way. "Isn't it cute!" She said cheerfully.
"Maybe..Death is harsh.. I know he killed her, but why grant him freedom... At least, if he wasn't dead he would be punished. Well. Unless he like bled to death or something." Neruka said, again cheerfully. It was quite weird to hear someone talk about long painful deaths in a cheerful manner, but hey it was Neruka.

"Oh!" Marisa, being from the coastal fishing town of Salem, was no stranger to crustaceans - she was very friendly with the littler critters - she used to go down crabbing amungst the rocks at low tide for entire summers - at least until last year, when a seemingly innocent, joking around cat call of 'I've cought crabs! I've cought crabs!' frighten a whole family of tourist. They were cute, indeed...but they were also to die for with a little butter to sizzle and dill for taste.
"Aww...'lo little guy..." She cooed, like some ancient aunt to her favorite nephew, as she dangled her finger just out of reach of it's flailing claws. "And it depends I suppose...if you're a religious person...then if ya kill the guy, he has a way, way worst time waiting for him. I grew up with a load of Catholics - so I'd like ta see them put a needle in the guys arm and let the devil sort him out."
Yup, odd conversation to be having on a bright, sunny beach.

Bllaze chuckled. Always an interesting when around Neruka... He reached forward and gently pet the crabs shell. It had been moving before, but at his touch it seemed to calm down. It was the heat. Blaze's body temperature ran higher than most beings. Especiall y humans... and Definatley higher than a crabs. "It seems so strong, yet under it's shell it is a defenseless little creature." He looked up at the two girls. "Much like the killer. Personally, I believe most religion is total bull crap. But the man will get what is coming to him, karma. I also believe... that the man is much like this crab. the mystery of who he is, is his shell, protecting him from absolute harm. But then, when you remove his shell, meaning when you figure out who he is: he will be as defenseless as a crab without a shell." He smiled a small smile.

Neruka smiled and let the crab down, letting it crawl away, but instead of crawling out of sight, the little crab crawled up to Blaze, the quickly crawled away. Neruka loved all creatures, crabs included.
"I believe in the ten fold rule.. Whatever happens to you, comes back ten fold." She said watching the crab run around leaving imprints in the sand. "Either way, Krama or not. He's gonna get whats coming to'em." Neruka said staring up at both of them with a huge grin on her face.

"Amen." Breezed Marisa, as she continued to tease the crab with her fingers. "Underneath that big ol' shell, he's just a bunch of soft, squishy meat...and good eatn' too..." She paused for a moment...realizing how that may have come out.
"I was definately talking about Mr. Crab right there...carnivore I may be - but canibal, no. Just to be clear on that...What you said though...Deep...real deep."

Blaze chuckled. "I understood what you ment Miss. Marisa." Blaze had been raised to be chivalrous, to respect women. He had been taught: a woman is the highest prize a man can recieve and even then, he has to work to make sure she stays. He smiled and bent down, offering his hand out to the crab, it scuttled close to him, standing inches from his hand. When he had benty down, it gave the girls the chance of seeing the large tatto that covered his back. It was of the night sky, complete with stars, and the moon. and then a red bird flying underneath it.

Neruka had seen that Tattoo before, but who had one like his..Boy they look so much alike. Oh yeah... She's seen it on blaze before, she saw a glimpse of it one time, for what it seemed like years ago. WHen she saw it the first time, she thought the same thing she thought now. 'Pretty!" She said smiling. Then again, to Neruka everything was pretty.

Catching sight of the expansive tattoo on Blaze's back, Marisa let out a low whisper. She was an admirer of such art - although she would never, ever have the guts to get something done herself. Her and needles - they did not mix for som much as a flu shot.
"Nice ink!" She breathed. The red bird against the dark background - she wanted to reach out and touch it's feathers (but seeing as the bird was on another person's body - a man's no less - that would ahve been highyl inappropriate - or at least awkward). "When'd ja get that?!"

Blaze looked up at them. "Thank you Miss. Marisa. I got it two years ago for my sevententh birthday." He smiled, "And thank you Miss. Neruka. I believe that's how you reacted when you only saw the bottom." The crab closed the distance and touched his hand, and then the crab scuttled away as fast as it possibly could. "Aw..." Blaze said, almost sadly. Why did the crabs always have to run away from him? Was it cause he ran so hot?

Neruka caught the crap and lifted it up to him. "There." She said smiling. "He just got to get used to ya." She said wit ha wide grin. "Probably, but it is pretty!" Neruka gave a wide grin. She again, thought everything was pretty. The Su, The clouds, the trees, The pavement in the parking lot! All of them were pretty to her.

Blaze chuckled. He gently reached out and pet the crab. It shook under his touch, but remained still. Blaze smiled at Neruka. "It is pretty... Miss Neruka." Blaze then looked back down sat the crab. He was being careful not to fry it.

Marisa was beginning to find that she was really going to like it here. She hadn't had much time to meet new people - even classmates at the neighbouring college - but she figured that if other townsfolk were like Blaze and Neruka - then she'd get along just fine here. And if all the guys were as, chivalrous as Blaze - why, she could get used to being calls "Miss Marisa."
"Can't believe I stayed away so long! I feel like I've never left home, and yet were closer to the epicenter of United States culture than I have ever been! And you lucky buggers have gotten to live here your whole lives!"

Neruka started feeling dizzy all of a sudden. She didn't know it but the portal was going to open in a matter of days, she didn't even know the portal existed. She started hearing a voice, of a elderly person counting. It was the Vampire who predicted were and when the portal would open. It was going to Open rest next to her once cave home. Neruka looked around looking her the man who was counting. She saw no one.
"Do you guys here that?"
